Still his PR is since 2007, 66.58m in a much smaller meet and in better conditions.
After a tough year in 2008 with lot of injuries we can say that Omar is back. It is great and deserved. Omar has been working hard on his “comeback”, doing lot of rehab and building his body up again. His technique is also better than before and now he just needs to stay healthy and work on towards the World Championships in Berlin.
Omar will compete next in the Mediterranean Games in Italy on July 1, there he will meet among others Pestano and Casanas from Spain. It will be a fun and exciting competition as all of these guys are on the top 10 list in the world right now.
Great job Omar, really good.
Märt Israel had a tough meet but pulled out a throw on 62.35m in the last throw after struggling in the earlier rounds. Märt is struggling with the feeling of the throw and the technical aspect. We just work on it and go on and he will be fine soon ready for the University Games to be held on July 10-12.
Axel Härstedt di 53.14m and fouled a throw over 55m that is the mark he is trying to get as a qualification mark for the European under 23. Axel will compete in Bottnaryd tomorrow and was positive that he would be able to throw over 55m there. His best is 56.14m so even Axel has been struggling a little technically then he is not too far away from his best. Axel competes also well so we are looking forward to Bottnaryd.
