A good week in Great Britain

Sometimes I get the opportunity to go to other countries and do lectures, clinics, conferences, workshops etc. Last week was one of these and I really enjoyed it.

My friend Shaun Pickering asked me for UK Athletics to come to Great Britain and do some lectures as well as workshops. Shaun organized the so called Master Class clinic in a very good way. We did a total of six lectures during the weekend with two groups of coaches. Then during the week we did some workshops with 12 chosen athletes with their coaches.

We worked with the following athletes and coaches:

Daniel Greaves, the Paralymic Champion and his coach Jim Edwards.
Brett Morse, a 60m guy and a young thrower Liam Biddlecomp with their coach Nigel Bevan.
Eden Francis, a European Champion U23 with her coach Gleny Morton.
Jade Moore, a talented young thrower with her coach Andy Brittan.
Steve Watsons and Kirsty Law, two young throwers with coach Mark Wiseman
Jade Nicholls a Bronze medalist from ECU23 and talented Chris Scott with coach Andy Neal.
Philippa Roles and Emeka Udechuku two elite 60m+ throwers with coach Maggie Lynes.
Abdul Buhari an upcoming talented guy with coach Derek Evely.

  We did this in Loughborough and London and it went well. I hope the athletes as well as the coaches learned something and they can throw farther this summer. I had a great time and picked up some points myself during the week from the different types of athletes and coaches I worked with.

I want to thank Shaun for a great organization and cooperation during the week and really taking care of everything. I also want to thank his mom Jean for a great hospitality during the London days. Also thanks to Derek Evely and his wife for the nice dinner and good company. It was also fun to hang out and workout with my friend Robert Weir.

Then at last, this was a giving week for me and I was treated like a King in Great Britain. I really appreciate it.
