Shot Putters compete in Sparta Indoor

Yesterday, Kim, Nick and Raigo had a meet in Copenhagen and did ok. Raigo won the Shot Put with a indoor best of the year 18.99m. Kim was second also with year best result of 18.94m. Nick did another indoor PR of 18.36m.

All throwers did ok but could have done much more; Raigo has an indoor PR of 19.31m and had 19.28m last year so he was not too far away from his best.

Kim did better than last week but has so much more to come. His PR is 19.65m so he has still some distance to take in. I really belief it will come this upcoming weekend in the Danish Championships.

Nick had a bad technical meet even if he did a new PR. There is just so much power there that when he hits it the shot will go very far. His indoor PR is already broken twice so the next step for Nick is to take his outdoor mark of 18.94m.

Raigo will not compete more this winter but Kim and Nick have the Danish Indoor this weekend and then later in March the EAA Winter Throwing Challenge in Arles, France and then the weekend after the Throwing Carnival here in Växjö, Sweden.
