Kim second in Malta

Kim Christensen put the shot 18.81m in the EAA Team Championships 3rd League in Malta yesterday. He was only 5cm from winning the event even if he had just a medium day.

Kim has been in top form for some time now without getting any good results really and also struggling with fouls. This time he did not have problems with it and that was positive.

Last week he also got some pain in his lower leg that affected his throwing. So, we are just happy that Kim did ok this time and are ready now to prepare well for the European Championships coming up at the end of July. There the goal is to throw farther than he did indoors last year when he did 19.5m and was only 11cm from final.

Kim is in good mental balance and ready to put in the work needed to reach his goals this year. He had 19.68m indoors this winter and is ready to take on the next step in his career and hit 20m. It will come this season.
