A good day in Monaco

Gerd Kanter won his first Diamond League meet yesterday in the Herculis 2010 meet in Monaco. Gerd had 67.81m that is an ok result and a good victory.

Märt Israel was in 6th place with another 65m throw when he threw 65.01m in his first attempt. Another great meet for Märt that has so far had a great season this year.

This meet was important in their preparation for the EC coming up in Barcelona in a week. Both athletes can throw farther but both had a good meet yesterday but there is more there.

Gerd has been working hard on his technique as well as speed during the camp here and his back is better, he needs to rest up also. Märt needs to use the remaining time to work on some technical things but otherwise he is ready.

So, even if last night was good in Monaco we are hoping for more to come next week in Barcelona.
